Selena Gomez takes a tumble on stage: 'First fall of the whole damn tour'

Selena Gomez took an embarrassing tumble on stage - but she was able to see the funny side.

The 23-year-old singer came into difficulty as she tried to walk down a set of stairs on stage in Tulsa, Oklahoma as part of her Revival tour.

Gomez was performing her single Kill Em With Kindness when she lost her footing on a step and fell to her knees.

The singer thwarted all attempts to style it out and carry on, and instead sat laughing on her knees.

Addressing the fall she told the crowd: "First fall of the whole damn tour. Can you believe it?"

Gomez is currently on the North American leg of her tour. She will then head to Asia before making her way acorss Europe and wrapping up in Mexico on December 18.

Her onstage mishap comes a week after her ex Justin Bieber dropped off the stage during a gig in Saskatoon, Canada.

The Sorry singer was performing as part of his Purpose World Tour when he took a step and fell down a trap door.

Audience members were left shocked before the singer popped up his head and pulled himself back onto the stage.

"Good thing I’m like a cat and landed on my feet,” he said. “That scared the f*** out of me.

Bieber later addressed the fall on Twitter writing: "I'm a cat. I got 9 lives. Lol."
