Caroline Flack has been training hard since August so it’s no surprise she hasn’t let her Strictly Come Dancing glitter ball trophy out of her sight since winning the dance competition on Saturday night.

The TV presenter – who had celebrated the night away at the show's after party – posted an Instagram of herself cuddled up to the silver trophy as she got some sleep on Sunday.

In another, captioned, “Sunday...Cartoons.. Glitterball...,” Flack, 35, can be seen next to the trophy on a sofa while watching cartoons.

The 2014 champion scored three perfect 40s on Saturday night’s final with her professional partner Pasha Kovalev – something that has never happened in the history of the BBC dance show.

It has been an emotional year for the 35-year-old. She lost her contract with The Xtra Factor and split from her partner Jack Street, but dancing with Kovalev provided her with an outlet for her emotions.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror she said: “I’m not very good with words, weirdly.

“I speak for a living, but I’m not very good at talking about my emotions.

“What Pasha has taught me is that you can express it by dancing – it’s been a real outlet. You don’t feel bad when you’re dancing.

"You can’t feel unhappy – it’s impossible. It’s a natural way to release endorphins and feel good.”
