Actress Chelsee Healey has been involved in a brawl in a takeaway shop after a night out.

The Strictly Come Dancing runner-up was involved in the altercation after partying in Manchester nightclub Bijou.

A witness told the Daily Mirror: "Chelsee and her friend walked into the pizza shop. Everyone had clearly had a bit too much to drink and they started arguing with a couple. The two lads started getting a bit aggressive with each other when all of a sudden the girl pushed Chelsee's pal.

"Chelsee ended up jumping in and started pushing the girl and grabbing her hair, it started to get really aggressive, a full on fight. Staff had to intervene and threw the group out of the shop, but her mate was furious.

"He ended up shouting all kinds to the staff and throwing pizza at them over the counter. It was completely out of control."

Witnesses claim the fight broke out over a pair of glasses Chelsee was wearing as part of her geek-themed costume from the club night.

The 23-year-old star - who danced for Queen Elizabeth at the Diamond Jubilee opening ceremony last weekend - was caught on CCTV at pizza takeaway By The Slice.

Chelsee's representative defended the star's actions and said she acted in self-defence, explaining: "Chelsee and her friend were minding their own business when she was verbally abused by a couple in the takeaway.

"Her friend told them to stop being rude, but the girl hit her friend in the face. Chelsee was concerned she was going to be hit, so she pushed her away.

"It was a very frightening experience for her, and it's not acceptable that just because she is in the public eye people feel they can abuse her.”
