Amber Anderson has claimed that Harvey Weinstein proposed a “personal relationship” in return for him furthering her career.

The British actress, 25, who most recently appeared in Strike: The Cuckoo’s Calling, said that she was just 20 when the disgraced movie mogul “behaved inappropriately” during a meeting in a hotel room.

Anderson added her name to the long list of Hollywood actresses who allege that they have been sexually harassed or assaulted by Weinstein in a candid Instagram post on Monday.

“I was 20 years old when in 2013 Harvey Weinstein coerced me into a private meeting indicating I could not take anyone along with me and dismissing staff who were present,” she wrote.

Anderson said that the mood “immediately changed” when they were alone and Weisntein became suggestive.

“He behaved inappropriately and propositioned a “personal” relationship to further my career whilst bragging about other actresses he had “helped” in a similar way,” she wrote.

“He told me not to tell anyone I was alone with him, told me if I did it might affect my “opportunities”.”

Anderson claims that Weinstein then put his hand on her lap, which is when she “managed to leave the room”.

Weinstein had been accused of sexual assault and harassment by over 40 women, but denies all allegations of non-consensual sex.

Hollywood stars including Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and Rose McGowan have all accused the producer of sexual harassment.
