Brits viewers were treated to a spot of strong swearing after ITV failed to properly censor Adele’s acceptance speech.

While producers attempted to beep out the star’s expletive-laden speech, they managed to leave in one almighty F-bomb.

Obviously not quite able to keep up with the live broadcast, ITV mistakenly censored the wrong words, with viewers able to hear the star say “I thought you were all f***ing bored of me.”

The superstar, who won four big awards on Wednesday night, couldn’t contain herself when she was presented with the Global Success Award.

She said: “Thank you. I can’t work out if I’m crying because of that video or because Tim Peake did it. My kid is going to think I’m so cool.

As she’d been up on stage three times already that night to collect the awards for Best Single, Best Female Solo Artist and Best Album she told the crowd:

“I bet you’re f**king bored of me anyway.”

She added: “I got really lost for a while and I didn’t know I would come back.

“Not bad for a girl from Tottenham who don’t like flying, winning Global Success.”

Hosts Ant and Dec were later forced to issue an on-air apology, saying that they were sorry if anyone had been ‘offended’ by the language used.
