Reality star Ricky Rayment was reportedly arrested following a ruckus outside a Brighton nightclub on Saturday night.

The TOWIE star, who has recently split from other half Marnie Simpson, is thought to have been momentarily detained in a police van after being ‘attacked’ by five men.

According to The Mirror, Rayment, 25, was ‘set upon’ by the group of nightclub-goers when the Sussex police intervened.

The star was ‘arrested’ and then ‘unarrested’ when one of the men declined to give a statement.

A police spokesperson has told MailOnline: “A 25-year-old man from Chigwell in Essex was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm following a fight with another man.

“Police officers on patrol in East Street were alerted to the fight near to the junction with Kings Road around 2.25am.

“As the situation calmed, the victim of the assault declined to provide a statement and the man was de-arrested. He left the area immediately.”

The TV star is yet to comment on the incident but spoke out last week to deny a number of stories surrounding his split from Simpson.

A spokesman for Rayment has declined to comment to Evening Standard Online.
