Have I told you lately that I love you? Rod Stewart shows he's smitten with his 16-month-old son Alastair.

The 62-year-old has put his hellraising days behind him - and is now content to spend time with his young son. And he is not afraid to make a dummy of himself in the process as our pictures show.

The pair were spotted in a Beverly Hills restaurant with Rod's fiancee Penny Lancaster, 36.

Rod, who had a No1 album with Every Picture Tells A Story, recently admitted he was too busy living a rock'n'roll lifestyle to devote himself to his previous six children.

But he is 'absolutely infatuated' with Alastair, pulling his weight in the nursery and often seen out pushing the buggy with Penny.

According to friends, he has never been happier. The couple are planning to get married this year.
