Drake was given almost $1million to spend on the music video for his new single God’s Plan, and he gave it all away to strangers.

The Canadian hip hop star released the video for his latest single, 'God's Plan', on Friday.

The opening caption reads: "The budget for this video was $996,631.90. We gave it all away. Don't tell the label."

It comes after he made headlines last week for paying for people's groceries, donating to a women's shelter, and taking people shopping.

At the end of the clip, Drake says: "We're nothing without our mothers.

"Gotta make sure you take care of your mom, too, no matter what you do.

"It's all we got. Trust me. That's my world."

The video instantly became an online hit - with fans far and wide praising the rapper's generosity.

Alycia Tyre wrote: "God's Plan music video made me so happy...why is Drake so precious[?] Protect him at all costs."

Another, @PaigeeeM, wrote: "I really wanna be able to bless people like how Drake did in the God's plan music video...that's real life goals."
