Built by Wren in the closing years of the 17th century for Queen Mary II (wife of William III) and decorated during the reign of Queen Anne with allegorical paintings depicting British naval power, the Queen's Drawing Room was used by the Queen and the ladies of the court for their principal entertainment - playing cards. A hidden door in the wall opposite the windows leads to the Queen's Private Dining Room.
