Lea Michele: Glee makes me feel beautiful

Lea Michele says 'Glee' has made her feel beautiful.

The 24-year-old actress - who plays perky high school singer Rachel Berry in the musical TV show - admits her self-confidence has received a huge boost from the series and made her forget about her difficult teen years.

She said: "'Glee' has made me feel beautiful. Now when people say that I don't feel like they're lying. 'Glee' has shown me that I am beautiful, that I can be beautiful no matter what I look like, what my weight is.

"I grew up in a community where what I looked like wasn't considered beautiful and then I work on this show that proves it doesn't matter what you look like, that you're beautiful and that beauty is on the inside. So, yeah, I'm thankful."

The brunette beauty is so confident now she doesn't even care when the 'Glee' writers make jokes about the size of her nose - although quips about her breasts are off limits.

She told Marie Claire magazine: "When they always talk about my boobs being too small I'm like, 'OK, if we're going to talk about this then let's be real!'

"Rachel does not have the smallest boobs in the club, although that would not be a problem if she did, but they keep saying that she does, and I'm like, 'It's not true!'

"I mean, they're not big, but they always talk about how small they are. But they always say I have a great butt, which I really do like."
