Love Island couple Gemma Owen and Luca Bish put on a loved-up display as they attended the Pride of Britain Awards on Monday night.

Owen, 19, and Bish, 23, looked closer than ever as they posed together on the red carpet at London’s Grosvenor House, before joining guests inside to celebrate the nation’s everyday heroes at the ceremony.

The pair’s attendance comes after claims have surfaced that their romance, which developed on the ITV2 series, is none other than a “showmance”.

Owen and Bish brushed off these allegations as they made a glamorous appearance at the ceremony in complementing ensembles.

Dressage rider Owen looked stunning as she wore an embellished silver backless gown from PrettyLittleThing with matching silver strappy heels.

The ambassador for the clothing brand had her hair scrapped back in a neat bun and was all-smiles as she was pictured with her hand affectionately on boyfriend Bish on the red carpet.

The fishmonger was dressed dashingly in a three-piece black and grey suit, finished off with a black spotted tie, and was seen beaming alongside girlfriend Owen on arrival.

Fellow Love Island star Paige Thorne recently alluded to only two couples from the latest series being in a genuine relationship, suggesting that the remaining Islanders still attached are together for commercial gain.

A source close to Owen and Bish denied the accusation that the pair’s romance is for show, as they told The Mirror: “Luca and Gemma are closer than ever, they don’t feel the need to ham it up on social media every day.

"Both have lots going on but they’re staying together most nights and when they do have to be apart, they are constantly on the phone with each other.

They added: “There is lots of talk and rumours about a showmance amongst this year’s contestants but it certainly isn’t Luca and Gemma that everyone is talking about."
