Weird religions, mystic treatments and a punishing exercise regime - Madonna's tried just about everything to stay in shape and stay on top.

Home time: Madonna leaving Locanda Locatelli

So it was no surprise to us that she was spotted clutching an odd-looking contraption as she dined out in London last night.

The 50-year-old performer enjoyed a meal at Locanda Locatelli restaurant in Mayfair, and emerged holding a nebuliser from the firm Omron (and who could ask for better advertising than that?!).

The portable device turns liquid medication into a fine mist, and is commonly used for those suffering with allergies or asthma.

There have not been any reports of Madge suffering from either - so it could be just to keep her voice in tiptop condition for her shows at The 02 arena next month.

Leaving the restaurant shortly after midnight, Madge appeared a little dishevelled, with little if any make-up, black shorts and a pair of bowling shoes. Surely there's a machine to fix a frumpy look.
