Gordon Ramsay has been branded a "d**k" by 'Masterchef' winner Tim Anderson.

The 26-year-old competitor was born n Wisconsin but insists he would never have gone on the US version of the programme because he thinks the chef's angry outbursts and attitude have ruined the show.

Tim blasted: "It's s**t. It's an abomination. It's Gordon Ramsay spitting out food and being a d**k. Sorry, 'American MasterChef' is appalling."

On the US programme, winners take home a $250,000 prize and Tim - who only took home a trophy following his victory over Sara Danesin Medio and Tom Whitaker on Wednesday - believes the huge sum means the show places emphasis on the wrong aspects of the show.

He added: "The British series is very cool. It's all about the cooking. American MasterChef is about Gordon Ramsay being Gordon Ramsay and tearing people down and about a quarter of a million dollar cash prize. My prize is the opportunity."

Despite Tim's criticism, he is a fan of Gordon's cooking and would happily work for the celebrity chef.

He said: "He is a great chef. I'd love to work in his restaurants, but not for him directly."

Following his victory, Tim wants to launch a noodle restaurant and write a children's book about his stint on the show.
