Singer James Morrison is a man on a mission - after promising to "live it large" at the Brits on Wednesday. The 24-year-old has been off the booze since the birth of his daughter Elsie in September, and is promising to get "completely mashed" at the awards. We reckon his frank attitude is a breath of fresh air, and will certainly be clinking glasses with him on Wednesday night.

Drinks ahoy: James Morrison

James, who is up for Best Male Solo Artist, said: "I am definitely going to live it large on Wednesday. I'm going to milk the Brits for what it is. I will be completely mashed, I think I'll drink a few Mojitos, and then go on to shots.

"I'll probably be starting early but I'll try to pace myself throughout the evening. When it comes to the afterparty, I'd like to have a few with Kylie and whoever else is there to be honest."

Kylie Minogue is hosting the event at Earls Court, alongside James Corden and Mathew Horne, but will have to share James with his girlfriend Gill.

He added: "I got a lot of stick last time for not bringing my girlfriend along to the ceremony. But this year I want her to enjoy the whole night. But, although I said I'll be drunk, I think she may be a lot worse."

It would be embarrassing if she drinks him under the table.
