Roman Abramovich has given a relatively modest home to his teenage daughter Anna - a £4 million mews cottage in Belgravia, according to reports.

The three-bedroom starter home is the former home of the family's nannies. The 19-year-old is moving in after splitting from solicitor Nikolai Lazarev.

Abramovich co-owns the property with his former wife Irina, whom he divorced after 15 years of marriage in 2007.

Anna, who is in the process of refurbishing the house, said: "It's my own little haven. I feel more grown up and I can't wait to entertain all my friends round at my own place.

"It is small and cosy, which is just the way I like it. My mum and sisters are just down the road but they don't have a key. I always want to be close to my family and I don't want to live more than 20 minutes away from them."

She added that she is furthering her own independence by paying for her own driving lessons.

Abramovich, who owns Chelsea Football Club, is living in Chelsea while he converts nine flats in Knightsbridge to create a single, palatial 30,000 sq ft home for himself and girlfriend Dasha Zhukova.
