Sam Cam V Lady Gaga: PM's wife and pop star among world's most stylish
Samantha Cameron, already a style icon for British middle-class mothers, has been judged one of the world's 20 best dressed women.
The prime minister's wife, 39, is ranked alongside models, actresses and one first lady.
But she may not be quite so flattered to learn that Vogue.com's annual poll has put her in the same league as Lady Gaga.
The 24-year-old singer's recent style statements included an outfit entirely fashioned from raw meat.
Sarah Harris of Vogue said: "Samantha Cameron is such a great ambassador for British fashion, having worn Erdem on the Tory campaign trail and Osman at the British Fashion Awards."
Half the women listed are British and the youngest is 19-year-old model Edie Campbell, who was raised in Westbourne Grove and became the face of Burberry at 18.
