Rocker Alice Cooper is to host a talent show to find London's most shocking act to join him on stage when he performs in the capital on Halloween.

The shock rocker will head up a judging panel for Britain's Got Freaks, which will take place at the London Dungeon next Monday, to look for "freaky and totally weird" acts to join his show.

The 62-year-old singer, who is credited with introducing theatrical horror to rock music, told the Standard: "You've got Britain's Got Talent, but I plan to hold Britain's Got Freaks. We thought, we're in London, why not get some of the local freaks to join us?

"There are tons of freaky acts sitting around London that have no place to show off their talents.

"We usually play our Halloween show in the US, but thought London would be a great place to bring it."

The winners would perform alongside Alice's support act, the Jim Rose Circus — one of whose performers hangs himself through hooks in his own skin.

Alice added: "We could really get anything. It could be a guy on a unicycle on fire, juggling. That would be great."

Entrants should submit videos of themselves at www.alicecooper.com, and the best acts will make it to the live audition next week. Alice plays the Camden Roundhouse on October 31 and November 1.
