Jodie Prenger is half the girl she used to be, but is double the woman.

The singer, who on Saturday wowed judges on ITV talent show I'd do Anything, has lost more than half her weight and gained a newfound sense of confidence in the process.

Jodie wowed the judges, including Denise Van Outen and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, and made it to the final 12 female constestants who are vying for the chance to become the next Nancy in West End musical Oliver!

But what's even more impressive than Saturday's performance is the fact that the 28-year-old has gone from a whopping 20-stone to a slimmed down and trim nine stone.

And the Blackpool-born performer says her newfound confidence helped her breeze through the early stages of the show.

"I was the chubby funny, fat girl. I always lost out at auditions because I was too big," she told the People on Sunday.

"I even got chucked out of dance school because I was too fat, but now everything is within my grasp."

Sir Andrew was so impressed with her performance of As Long As He Needs Me that he told her: "Yes, you could be the next Nancy."

But this is not the first time Jodie has been in the spotlight.

The wannabe Nancy appeared on ITV's The Biggest Loser last year when she dropped from an incredible size 26 to a slim 10 - managing to lose more weight than all the other contestants.

But she insists she won't be returning to her old self and, with the help of boyfriend Steve Greengrass, is beginning a new life.

"I would never entertain going back to the old Jodie," she said.

"I feel like my life has just begun."
