Stars in town for Sex And The City sequel
Vertiginous heels and floaty frocks will be in abundance as New York's most glamorous ambassadors attend the UK premiere of Sex And The City 2 tonight.
The movie is one of the most eagerly anticipated films of the year - certainly among the devoted fans of the axed TV series - with movie-makers hoping to match their previous box office hit.
The cast of the series - Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon - are among those heading to the screening at the Odeon Leicester Square in London.
Also joining the actresses who play the quartet of friends at the heart of SATC will be Chris Noth, better known to fans as "Big" - whose name was finally revealed to be John James Preston in the first movie.
The US series drew millions of devotees around the world who followed the ups and downs in the love lives of Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda. Viewers had an insight into their world of Jimmy Choos, cosmopolitan cocktails and rollercoaster relationships for six series, until the show ended in 2004.
It was revived for the big screen in 2008, becoming a huge hit and taking around £288 million at the box office.
For the new film the girls spread their wings from Manhattan and head to Abu Dhabi. But the new film has not been an instant hit with reviewers.
One said: "It all just sours the memory of the brightest, smartest show on TV."
