The images in this show have been creamed from the Print Sales Gallery's sizeable holdings.

Among them are landscapes and seascapes, nature studies and portraits of stars, representing the work of 24 photographers both established (think Bill Brandt and Jacques-Henri Lartigue) and up-and-coming.

Bob Willoughby and Cornel Lucas captured A-list life at its glitziest in the Fifties and Sixties - Audrey Hepburn, Cole Porter, Frank Sinatra.

But away from the dazzle of celebrity, Swiss-born Misha Haller's portraits exploit the immediacy of reportage, and Fay Godwin's eerie landscapes whisper of timelessness.

Prices begin at £400 and the gallery is part of the National Arts Purchase Plan, providing interest-free loans to make art more affordable.

Fri 30 Jul-Sat 28 Aug, The Photographers' Gallery, 5 Great Newport Street, WC2 (020-7831 1772).
