Actress Tamzin Outhwaite was granted a quick divorce from husband and fellow actor Tom Ellis on Monday after seven years of marriage.

The pair were granted a decree nisi from District Judge Liza Gordon-Saker in just one minute and 50 seconds, on the grounds that the marriage had irretrievably broken down after adultery. Neither actors were present at the hearing.

Tom, who is best known for his role in Miranda, admitted to cheating whilst filming Gothica in America last year. Though the pair tried to make it work after the allegations came to light, they eventually split, with Tom leaving their North London home.

The couple met in 2005 through mutual friend James McAvoy and were married in 2006, before eventually splitting last year.

The New Tricks actress has two daughters with Tom, five-year-old Florence and 20-month-old Marnie Mae. Tom Ellis also has a daughter Nora, from a previous relationship.
