Tayor Swift and Matty Healy were only a casual thing according to an insider following reports that they have split up after one month of dating.

The Lavender Haze singer, 32, and The 1975 frontman, 34, first sparked whispers of a romance in May and were then spotted on a number of cosy-looking outings, with speculation mounting that he was even set to move in with her.

However, the union sparked a backlash due to a number of historical controversial remarks made by Healy, who is the son of former Coronation Street and Loose Women star Denise Welch.

Now, it appears that it’s all over, but her inner circle aren’t surprised, claiming it was always “casual”.

“She had fun with him, but it was always casual.

“They are no longer romantically involved,” the source told People.

Despite previous claims that they were “so in love,” a source close to the GRAMMY Award-winning songstress suggested Healy was a rebound following her split from boyfriend of six years Joe Alwyn in February.

“Everyone who really knows her has been saying all along that this was a fun, good time thing that would last as long as it lasted and would be no big deal once it was done,” they said.

Speaking to Page Six, they added: “She will not be writing albums about this one. It was a summertime thing. Does everyone have amnesia about Tom Hiddleston?”

Swift and Marvel actor Hiddleston – who was infamously snapped wearing a “I heart TS” top – dated for an intense and much publicised three months back in 2016.

Meanwhile, Healy performed an emotional song about unrequited love as he and his band took to the stage at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria on Monday.

The song in question is track 102 from the band's 2018 album A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships and was uploaded to Twitter by a concertgoer.

This is the first time The 1975 have ended their set with this tragic love song.
