Did they or didn't they? Tongues are wagging in Hollywood over claims that actor Ben Affleck and girlfriend Jennifer Garner tied the knot at the weekend.

The wedding is said to have taken place at a posh country club on Saturday night.

But their publicists denied the rumours. Garner's mother, Pat, said she knew nothing about any plans for them to walk up the aisle.

She added: 'You know more than I do', before insisting her Alias star daughter was in New York. But a florist in West Virginia, close to where the reportedly pregnant actress grew up, claims to have sold 33-year-old Garner a bridal bouquet.
