Allardyce slams the window shut on Emre move

13 April 2012

Emre wants to quit Newcastle for Galatasaray but will only get his wish if the Turkish club stump up £3.5million.

Newcastle will demand their money back when Emre's former club comes calling in January to rescue him from Sam Allardyce's squad.

The international midfielder has not figured highly in Allardyce's plans and with new signing Joey Barton on the way back from injury he will have to up his game to win a recall.

Allardyce said: "There's no chance of him going because the window is shut."

Emre, 27, said: "I want to go back to Galatasaray, and they want me."
