13 April 2012

(12 noon Saturday, Highbury - live on Sky Sports 1).

Tickets: Sold out Facts: Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 17 games against domestic opposition. Newcastle have gone four games without a win
Recommended pub: Drayton Park (66 Drayton Park)
The philosopher who once said, "Those who speak most of progress measure it by quantity and not by quality", could indeed have been referring to the Champions League. I am sure the competition is here to stay and there will be much money made by those who compete in it but the glaring deficiencies of the competition were there for all to see in Turin, where Arsenal's European dream ended in surreal fashion in a near-empty stadium. Give me the old European Cup any time, where everything was blissfully straightforward. They're the rules, though, and the Gunners must dig deep for this FA Cup showdown against Newcastle.
Verdict: HIGHBURY HAPPY AGAIN
