Beckham looking forward to Veron's arrival

13 April 2012

David Beckham believes that Juan Sebastian Veron will be a brilliant addition to the Manchester United squad.

The England captain is looking forward to the Argentinian's arrival at Old Trafford.

The Lazio midfielder is thinking over a £24million move to United but claims another Serie A side has also made him an offer.

"I hope Veron will be with us in pre-season training. He's a very good player," Beckham told The Sun.

"In fact, I'd go as far as to say he's a brilliant player.

"He's one of the best in the world."

Veron was acquitted of falsely obtaining a European Union passport on Wednesday but still wants to leave the Rome club.
