Bolton eye Bierhoff

Oliver Bierhoff has promised to reach a decision within days on his future, with Premiership new boys Bolton desperate to pip Southampton and Marseille in the race to sign the Germany striker.

Bierhoff, 33, valued at £1.7million by AC Milan, said: 'Bolton are now serious contenders.

'The idea of playing in England appeals to me strongly.'
