An Italian newspaper appear to have erroneously used a picture of heavyweight boxer Michael Hunter instead of Anthony Joshua when reporting on the latter's deal to fight Tyson Fury.

Between them, the British pair hold all the belts in the heavyweight division, with Fury claiming the WBC title in a win over Deontay Wilder in February and Joshua reclaiming the WBA (Super), IBF and WBO straps in a rematch triumph against Andy Ruiz Jr in December.

In reporting the news, Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport mistakenly combined an image of Fury with one of American heavyweight Hunter, rather than Joshua.

Hunter himself picked up on the error on social media, tweeting out the page to his followers with the message: "AJ looking sharp in this Italian newspaper."

Hunter's last fight came on the undercard of Joshua's rematch against Ruiz Jr in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia in December.
