Brevett out for the season

West Ham defender Rufus Brevett, who broke a bone in his foot against Sheffield United four months ago, has undergone a second operation and will not play again this season.

Club physio John Green said: "The specialist advised us that if the bone didn't heal properly it could fracture at any time, or it could have left him with a hole in the middle of his foot."
