Chepkemei free to face Paula

14 April 2012

The ban on Kenyan runner Susan Chepkemei has been lifted, allowing her to compete in the 25th Flora London Marathon next month.

Chepkemei was suspended by Athletics Kenya after failing to report to a national training camp but they have relented following an apology from the runner.

The decision means Chepkemei is free to resume her rivalry with Paula Radcliffe after the Briton got the better of her in the closing stages of the New York Marathon.
