Trevor Immelman moved into the hunt for his first European Tour title in Sydney today with an eagle and seven birdies helping him to a nine-under-par 64 at the ANZ Championship.

Under the modified stableford system, it lifted the South African to a halfway total of 29 points, one behind Australian Andre Stolz. Surrey-based Australian Craig Parry is a point further adrift. England's Jonathan Lomas, with three holes to go, had only improved on his overnight lead by a point and stood on 21.
