Marina Zoueva had double reason to celebrate after coaching Canada's Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir to ice dance gold and Americans Meryl Davis and Charlie White to silver.

The Games go to her home country of Russia for Sochi 2014. Zoueva said: "My aim is a 1-2-3 there."

Britain's Sinead and John Kerr were eighth in probably their last Games.

Eve takes blame for costly errors

Skip Eve Muirhead took the blame after a 9-8 defeat by Denmark left Britain on the brink of elimination from the curling.

"It's gutting," she said. "There were a couple of slack shots by myself in the ninth end which cost us."

Britain must beat table toppers Canada tonight to have any chance of going through.
