Dowie delight at grafter Johnson

Iain Dowie praised Andy Johnson for the hat-trick that earned his Crystal Palace side a 3-2 win at Crewe which kept them in the play-off hunt.

The striker took his season's haul to 30, including 26 league goals - the most in Division One.

Manager Dowie said: "He's been terrific and deserves all the plaudits he gets. There's the old saying, the harder you work, the luckier you get. That applies to Andrew."
