Easy win for Australians

13 April 2012

Australia cruised to an innings and 98-run win over Bangladesh before lunch on the fourth day of the Second Test in Cairns.

The tourists, resuming on 106 for four, needed 155 to avoid a second successive innings defeat and were soon in trouble.

Leg spinner Stuart MacGill took five for 56 - finishing with 10 in the match and 17 in the series - and was named man of the match and man of the series.

Steve Waugh's unbeaten 156 in Australia's innings made him the first man to score a 150 against all nine Test-playing nations.

Australia won the series 2-0 after winning the First Test by an innings and 132 runs in Darwin. The teams will now take part in a three-match international one-day series.
