1/13

England have lost Tommy Taylor and Nick Schonert through injury for the upcoming tour of Argentina, the RFU has announced.

Taylor has been ruled out with knee ligament damage suffered during a training session while Schonert, fresh from surgery, has sustained damage to his hand.

Schonert's Worcester team-mate Jack Singleton has been recalled into the squad to replace Taylor while Bristol's Jamal Ford-Robinson has been called up for Schonert.

Singleton and Ford-Robinson were both involved in England's recent camps in Brighton and Pennyhill Park and played against the Barbarians on Sunday.

Jones said of the impending tour against Argentina: "I'm really excited about this Test series in Argentina. It is a big opportunity for this group and we are going out there to win 2-0.

"The players who have been in camp over the last few weeks have done extremely well and the win against a Barbarians team full of top internationals is testament to the hard work they have put in.

"We are looking forward to a good week of preparation in London before we depart this weekend."
