England win practice battle

After days of wrangling between England and the Indian Board for permission to use Eden Gardens for practice, Nasser Hussain's men finally trained there last night.

England got to use Eden Gardens - where they will play their opening one-day international with India on Saturday - after criticising the facilities at the Calcutta Cricket and Football Club.

England's James Foster said: "Eden Gardens is a hell of a stadium and it's going to be a hell of an experience."

Meanwhile, in Chittagong, Pakistan dismissed Bangladesh for just 148 on the first day of the Second Test. The tourists were 99 for one at the close.
