England's flying start in Sevens World Series

13 April 2012

England began their bid to go clear at the top of the Sevens World Series rankings by hammering China 54-0 at the Hong Kong Sevens today.

Dan Caprice capped his Hong Kong debut with three of eight tries for a side who lead the table with South Africa, who beat Korea 29-7.

Kevin Barrett said: "It's one of the best starts we've had over the years as an England team. It's difficult conditions with the humidity but we kept it simple and we did what we set out to do. Now we must do the right things recovery-wise and try for more of the same."

That will be tomorrow when England will play Wales and Japan while South Africa face France and Uruguay.
