England's Zimbabwe tour given all clear

England?s tour to Zimbabwe has been given the all-clear.

The trip, which is due to begin next week, had been in doubt because of the political uncertainty in the country.

A further obstacle has been the reluctance of Zimbabwe?s government to grant accreditation to foreign media following their reports of the troubles there.

But after talks between the England and Wales Cricket Board and the Zimbabwean Cricket Union, the work permits have now been issued.

ECB chief executive Tim Lamb admitted: ?This has been a long process.?
