Fit-again Cech set to return for Chelsea

Chelsea keeper Petr Cech has stepped up his fitness work in training and is on course to return against Middlesbrough on Sunday.

Cech, who has missed six games with an ankle injury, should play at Stamford Bridge if he comes through the rest of the week's training sessions unscathed.

Chelsea No.2 Carlo Cudicini has been doing a reasonable job in his absence but Avram Grant's side have missed Cech's dominance in the penalty area and particularly at claiming crosses.
