Alan Pardew claimed he could find little fault in Crystal Palace's performance at Turf Moor outside the errors from which Burnley scored.

The Eagles fell to a fourth straight Premier League defeat at Turf Moor as Ashley Barnes struck a last-gasp winner to ensure Palace's second-half fightback from 2-0 down was in vain.

Indeed, Sam Vokes and Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson had seemingly put the game beyond Palace inside 20 minutes before Connor Wickham and Christian Benteke hauled Pardew's men level with a rallying second-half display.

But as Palace overcommitted in an attempt to snatch the points they were dealt a heartbreaking blow by Barnes.

Speaking after the last-gasp defeat, Pardew said: "There wasn't much wrong with our game today outside of those big errors and Burnley punished those errors."

He later added: "This defeat is a big blow for us because we have some tough games coming up. We're going to have be strong after the internbational break and get some results. We dominated and actually played some good football today.

"We don't look like a team that has lost four games, it's been fine margins. We need to cut out these mistakes, and get ourselves to a position where we can see out a game. We set the target of scoring two goals today and when you do that away from home you should be looking to take the points. Our position in the table is not a reflection of our performances but it is what it is."
