Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Antonio Conte as their new manager, with the Italy head coach set to arrive at Stamford Bridge after Euro 2016.

But what can Chelsea expect from the former Juventus boss? A consistent winner as both a player and a manager Conte brings with him experience of working with some of Europe’s top players.

A Juventus captain as a player he was a key member of the Champions League-winning side of 1996 whilst in the Bianconeri hot seat he brought back the success that had typified his playing career to a struggling Juventus side still beset by the aftermath of the Calciopoli scandal.

Juventus won three consecutive Serie A titles with Conte at the helm, earning a record 102 points in 2014.

Under his stewardship the likes of Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal developed into midfielders of world renown whilst the side he built would go on to reach the Champions League final a year after his departure, losing to Barcelona.

Roman Abramovich will be hoping that he can bring similar success to Stamford Bridge.
