Argentina winger Cristian Pavon hints he is ready for Boca Juniors exit amid Arsenal links
Boca Juniors winger Cristian Pavon has hinted he is prepared to depart the club amid speculation he is a transfer target for Arsenal.
The 22-year-old winger is one of the most highly-rated young products in Argentine football and has already been called up to the national side, making his debut in November.
Reports earlier in January linked Arsenal with a £20million summer move for Pavon, who has also caught the eye of Juventus and Manchester City.
Pavon, contracted to Boca until 2022, has hinted he would be willing to make the move to Europe, telling Fox Sports: “One always gives the maximum so that other teams love you.
“I wish it was fixed, I said at one point that I was going to stay but, well, I still do not know anything.
“I prefer to play games and not be focused on what happens outside.
“I will sit down to talk with my manager [Fernando Hidalgo], with my family, and I will see what happens.”
Though Arsenal have been linked most heavily with Pavon their current focus is putting the finishing touches on the Alexis Sanchez-Henrikh Mkhitaryan swap deal and bringing in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund, a deal that is set to break the Gunners’ £52.7million club record.
