Arsenal target Gabriel Magalhaes is "asking about the Premier League," according to Lille team-mate Jose Fonte.
The Gunners are still waiting to discover if they have beaten Napoli to the Brazilian's signature , with Napoli their fiercest rivals.
Lille have set an asking price of £22million for the defender, which both Arsenal and Napoli are ready to meet but the Gunners may have the edge over the Italian side.
Fonte, who plays alongside Gabriel, confirmed the youngster is weighing up his options and been asking him about his time in England with Southampton and West ham.
“The club (Lille) have allowed him to speak with other clubs. He’s in the process of moving,” Fonte told talkSPORT.
“It’s just about him choosing which club, which is a great position to be in. They’re all good clubs.
“We need to understand that every boy’s dream is to play in the Premier League and he’s been asking questions about the Premier League.
“He has been asking questions about clubs in the Premier League. I try to give the best and honest opinions.”
