Mikel Arteta looks set to hand starts to a number of Arsenal’s rising stars against Molde on Thursday.

Joe Willock and Eddie Nketiah will be pushing for places in Arteta’s lineup for the Europa league clash at the Emirates, while David Luiz is also in with a chance of playing.

The Brazil defender has missed the last two matches, victories against Dundalk and Manchester United, after he was forced off with a thigh injury during the home defeat to Leicester on October 25.

Arteta made 11 changes against Dundalk a week ago and the Spaniard has said there will also be changes here. Along with the likes of Willock and Nketiah, Alex Runarsson, Nicolas Pepe and Dani Ceballos could also be called upon.

The Gunners squad were put through their paces at London Colney on Wednesday in the winter sunshine, and looked in high spirits having beaten Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford last weekend.

Arsenal provisional squad: Leno, Runarsson, Bellerin, Maitland-Niles, Gabriel, Luiz, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Tierney, Saka, Ceballos, Elneny, Partey, Willock, Xhaka, Nelson, Pepe, Smith Rowe, Willian, Aubameyang, Lacazette, Nketiah.
