Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette will '100 per cent' not join West Ham, confirms Slaven Bilic

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has categorically ruled out a move for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer.

The Frenchman scored 21 goals in 34 Ligue 1 appearances and has been widely linked with a switch away from his homeland.

Arsenal had a £29.4m bid for the 25-year-old rejected in July but Lyon manager Bruno Genesio has conceded Lacazette could still depart before the transfer window closes.

Lyon are set to offer Lacazette a contract that would see him become the joint-highest earner in the club's history to stave off further interest and Bilic has admitted the Hammers are out of the running.

"100 per cent not," he said when asked about signing the Lyon forward. "We need a squad but I'm happy."

The Croatian has strengthened his squad significantly this summer and also confirmed that Jonathan Calleri will arrive in east London shortly once the Argentinian receives his work permit.

"We signed Calleri, unfortunately for him but good for us Argentina were knocked out of the Olympics last night.

"They didn't pass the group stage so he should be here with us - not today, not tomorrow, but pretty soon, depending on work permit or whatever.

"We did the deal not a long time ago but not yesterday, and he is a top striker as well. You need a squad, of course you need a squad but it is about the balance," Bilic added.
