Lukas Podolski will not be swapping the Emirates Stadium for the Turk Telekom Arena this summer, according to Galatasaray manager Hamza Hamzaoglu.

The out-of-favour Arsenal striker was linked with a January move to the Turkisk giants before eventually ending up at Inter Milan on loan for the remainder of the season.

But Podolski struggled to force his way into Roberto Mancini’s plays in Serie A, and the striker is set to return to training with the Gunners ahead of the new season.

Surplus to requirements at Arsenal, it was believed that Galatasaray would resurrect their interest in the World Cup winner, but manager Hamzaoglu has moved to distance himself from the player.

“Podolski is not on our radar right now," the Galatasaray boss told TRT. "He was in the winter but not right now.”

Podolski score just one goal in 19 appearances for Inter Milan last season.
