Barclays Premier League leaders Arsenal recalled striker Olivier Giroud for Sunday's clash against Everton at the Emirates Stadium.

Full-back Kieran Gibbs also returned to the team having started on the bench for the midweek win over Hull, as did midfielders Jack Wilshere and Mikel Arteta. England forward Theo Walcott was again a substitute.

Everton were looking to build on their 1-0 win at Manchester United, and Romelu Lukaku, on loan from Chelsea, again led the Toffees attack in an unchanged XI.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Ramsey, Ozil, Cazorla, Giroud. Subs: Vermaelen, Walcott, Monreal, Fabianski, Bendtner, Flamini, Rosicky.

Everton: Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Oviedo, McCarthy, Barry, Mirallas, Barkley, Pienaar, Lukaku. Subs: Robles, Heitinga, Jelavic, Naismith, Osman, Stones, Deulofeu.
