Arsenal star Mesut Ozil said he is enjoying life in England and that he welcomes the intensity of the Premier League fixture list.

The German playmaker, who has assisted seven goals in 15 games in the league for the Gunners this season, said the absence of a winter break was something he relished.

Speaking to the official Arsenal website, Ozil added: “I’m very pleased that I’m in this league because you go from game to game very quickly.

“You play every two or three days and for me it’s better to play more games than train because I love a challenge and here that is perfect.”

The 25-year-old, who joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in the summer, also cited his German compatriots at the club as one of the main reasons he has settled in so well.

“The German players here have helped me to establish myself quicker than I perhaps would have done were they not here,” Ozil said.

He added: “I feel comfortable here. You can see on the pitch when we play together that we have a very good understanding.”

Arsenal are currently sitting on top of the Premier League, with second-placed Manchester City only one point below them.
