Liverpool have made a £15million bid for Swansea midfielder Joe Allen.
The offer has triggered a release clause in the 22-year-old’s contract and Allen will meet with Swansea manager Michael Laudrup to discuss his future.
New Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, who led Swansea to 11th in the Premier League last season, is keen to bring the Wales international to Anfield and had a £12m bid rejected last month.
Allen, who has also been linked with a move to Tottenham, has made it clear to Swansea that he is interested in talking to Liverpool.
