Roy Carroll has his sights set on replacing Lee Camp as Northern Ireland’s goalkeeper after his first call‑up in six years.

The former West Ham No1 fell out with previous national boss Nigel Worthington but after rebuilding a faltering career overseas, the Olympiacos man, 34, has been chosen by Michael O’Neill for tomorrow’s friendly with Holland in Amsterdam.

“Of course you wonder if it’s over,” said Carroll. “It’s great to be back and I’m here to fight for the No1 shirt.”
